VisuCaller 3.0

VisuCaller is a phone scanning and calling application. Through an in-app purchase, it offers the additional functionality of scanning contact information either through the viewfinder or from images, which can then be saved to your device's contacts or an app list.

The phone tab employs a viewfinder for enclosing data to be scanned, with detected phone numbers displayed in a list format. Rapid detection of a particular number triggers it to be highlighted in green and can even initiate an automatic call if the feature is enabled in the settings. Users have the option to edit numbers within the list, enabling addition of prefix codes or correction of errors. Zoom control can be managed via pinch gestures or double-tapping.

With the contacts tab available as an in-app purchase, users can detect data by taking pictures or using the viewfinder for smaller and specific information. The detected information is shown in a list format, offering cues regarding the types of contact information that can be scanned. Users have the freedom to scan only desired data. Detection of data multiple times in succession leads to items being highlighted in green, indicating a high probability of accuracy. Users also have the ability to select specific list rows, thus guiding the viewfinder scanner towards expected data for enhanced detection capabilities. Additionally, users can tap on scanned items to obtain directions on maps, access email, or browse websites if they do not wish to save the data.

The list tab provides a platform for managing personal lists within the app, enabling users to note down information without cluttering their device's contacts. This feature is particularly useful for temporary information that may be essential for a short time period but not required long-term. Users can easily delete a list once it has served its purpose instead of manually sifting through their contacts for deletion.

Common user interactions within the app include tapping on the viewfinder to refocus, swiping across the viewfinder to clear list data and trigger a rescan, tapping a camera button to process captured images for contact information, and dragging list handles up or down to start or stop camera scanning using the viewfinder. Additional interactions include double-tapping on the viewfinder to cycle zoom levels, pinch-zoom functionality, tapping on a list item to perform actions such as making calls or browsing websites, adding a list item to contact information by tapping on it, and holding a list item to initiate editing.

It is important to note that VisuCaller utilizes OCR technology and is designed specifically for printed English text - not handwritten text. While accurate scanning is highly likely with clear and non-overlapping characters, errors may occur intermittently.
